Ack, I forgot to update yesterday! So sorry about that; I got caught up in writing Dreamwidth tutorials...

Skipping the fluff this week and getting right to the moods.

This week's moods are: Guilty, Hot, Hungry

The minimal moods for this week are: Determined, Devious, Energetic

Of this set, I feel like Guilty is one that's a little more difficult for people making original art. When pulling from a fandom, you can probably think of a time when your subject felt (or should have felt) guilty about something, and go with that! Original art lacks that context, so you have to rely more on conveying the emotion directly through expressions/body language and/or props. But I could be wrong! Other people working on original art themes may be able to come up with something a lot easier than I did!

Hot and Hungry, by contrast, seem pretty straightforward, especially for original art. People working with a fandom may have a tougher time finding images to work with—though if your fandom had a beach episode or a trip to a restaurant, you're probably all set!

What do you think? Are you working off of a fandom, or with original art? What about making your own fanart? Do you think you'll have a hard time with any of these moods, or do you expect them to come easily? Somewhere in between? Let's talk about it!

What are your thoughts on this week's moods? I can't say I'm entirely fond of the presence of Ditzy, but I imagine it's also a product of the times the mood list was created in; though I'll bet that it's going to be fun for people looking for screencaps and manga pages and so forth to find a matching image! Flirty and Giddy, meanwhile, seem like they'd be fun for everyone.

Still, my thoughts are not the only thoughts that count! What are yours? Do you expect to get through these moods in the blink of an eye, or do you think you'll be working on them up through Saturday? Some of each, maybe? And how is your mood theme going overall? Have any of you stared a minimal mood theme this part? Let's talk about it!

Time for the second week of Part 3!

This week's moods are: Enraged, Frustrated, Grumpy

Something I didn't think to appreciate before, with my own very random approach to which moods I've been making, is that uploading leaf moods is so organized compared to the branching moods. All of the derivatives of "Angry"? All right there in a row! You don't have to go searching up and down the list of moods (or ctrl + f, as I usually end up doing) to figure out where the next one is going to go. It's pretty refreshing!

That doesn't say a lot about this week's moods, though! Does anyone have any thoughts on these three? Is Frustrated a little too relatable at this point in the challenge, or are you Grumpy that things aren't going faster? Having any trouble with this cluster of similar moods, or is it a relief to find a purpose for images that didn't quite fit Angry earlier? Let's talk about it!

Hello, everyone, and welcome to Week 2 of the first leg of Mood Theme in a Year!

This week's moods are: Determined, Devious, Energetic.

I don't know about anyone else, but I suspect I'm going to have a bit of trouble with at least two of these. Luckily, I can always check Dreamwidth's server-supported moods for examples! Worse comes to worst, there's also image searches. I'll bet there are some useful examples on your average image search, especially if I include the words "expression reference".

But maybe some of the people here have some ideas as well! Do you have any ideas for how you're planning to approach these moods? Have you had problems with any so far? Are there any moods you're looking forward to creating for? Let's talk about it!
