A Custom Mood Theme in a Year

This week's Minimum and Medium moods are: Scared, Thoughtful, Working

This week's Maximum moods are: Touched, Dorky, Geeky

I had a lot of fun making variations on Touched last year, as well as with this week's other two moods. Still, there are lots of other potential ways to go with these! What are your thoughts on the matter? Are you going to go with the "physical touch" shortcut for Touched, or do you have something appropriately emotional lined up? Are you all too ready for Geeky and Dorky? Let's talk about it!

This week's Maximum moods are: Giggly, Naughty, Quixotic

Like last year, I'm just straight out going to copy-paste the definition of Quixotic that Dreamwidth links to for this:

1) extravagantly chivalrous or romantic; visionary, impractical, or impracticable.
Synonyms: imaginary, fantastic, fanciful
Antonyms: practical, realistic
2) impulsive and often rashly unpredictable.
3) (sometimes initial capital letter) resembling or befitting Don Quixote ( def ).

And to quote myself from last year: If the subject of your mood theme ever tilts at windmills, this would be a good time to pull that out! Otherwise, aiming for generally quirky seems like a good approach for this tricky vocabulary word. Giggly and Naughty seem relatively easy in comparison, but that doesn't mean they will be, of course.

I'll admit, I had some trouble with Crazy for my Fancy Rats mood theme! I ended up popping a tin foil hat on the rat and, in the original version, had one of those "newspaper clippings with red string" boards laid out in the background. (In retrospect, I probably could've kept it for the official version...) Still, even then I found it kind of a charged mood to work with. Do you lean into it? Play it safe? Go against stereotypes? How do you approach it, really?

It's Monday evening where I am, which means it's Mood o'Clock!

These are some fun moods this week, IMO. It may take a bit of work to differentiate between Dorky and Geeky, but that's part of the fun! Meanwhile, Touched gets into major heartwarming potential. Is there a really beautiful moment that your subject has experienced and that you want to immortalize forever? This might be the mood for it! If you're coming up with original character moods, it might also be fun to lean into the pun; the mood theme that first inspired me to make my own, the Heartless mood theme by Ruby D, featured a standard Heartless from Kingdom Hearts being poked (and therefore Touched) by one of the human characters from off-screen. There's potential fun to be had with that!

What about you? Do you anticipate having trouble figuring out this week's moods? I'm looking forward to feeling Relieved when the power goes back on at my house, I can tell you that much! Thankfully, I did manage to get some dinner in without too much hassle, so I am Full. As for Crazy, well. It is Disability Pride month, after all!
