And we're back: Welcome to Mood Theme in a Year 2026! Whether you're here for the Maximum Track, the Medium Track, the Minimum Track, or just to watch and cheer along, I'm glad you're here ♥ I hope you have a good time!

This week's moods are: Angry, Awake, Confused

The next six weeks are the only ones where the moods are the same for all three tracks, so it's pretty special! I hope everyone has fun with it.

Anyway! What are you working on? Are you making a mood theme of any size, working on a different art project, or just here to follow the fun? What medium are you working in? Is there anything you're looking forward to? Let's talk about it!

Here we are; we've finally made it: The last two moods in the Maximum Track mood theme!

This week's Maximum moods are: Creative, Productive

So, what do you think? Are you ready to knock this out of the park, or do you need a little encouragement to keep going? Are you still seeking inspiration, or do you have the perfect idea for both of them already? And what are you going to do with your time when this project is finally over? Let's talk about it!

Looks like I'm going through with scheduling the rest of the year after all 😂 Gotta ride that productivity train all the way to the end when you can! (At least when it's not dangerous to do so, of course.)

Anyway, there's only two weeks of moods left, which isn't quite enough time for either a Medium or even a Minimum run—unless you want to try and get a Bingo Blackout before the end of the year. As such, I'll only be posting moods from the Maximum Track.

This week's Maximum moods are: Accomplished, Artistic, Busy

Some fitting moods for this community, if you ask me! But maybe you feel differently? And how do you think you'll do on this week's moods in general? Are you expecting them to come easily, or are you going to have to put your nose to the proverbial grindstone? Do you need any help? And is this a welcome distraction from the end of the year? Remember, the community schedule is technically just a suggested schedule; if you need to take a break early and come back for the last few moods later, that's perfectly fine! What do you think? This week's Maximum moods are: Embarrassed, Intimidated, Nervous

So, any thoughts on this week's moods? Do you already have ideas in mind, or do you need some time to figure them out? Or maybe you could stand to rubber duck some possibilities with other commenters? Let's talk about it!

We're getting into crunch time for me at both school and work, so I'm going to try and schedule the posts at least through the end of the month—maybe even the end of the year. There shouldn't be any change on your end, and if all goes well, I might even try to set this up for next year...

Anyway! On to business!

This week's Minimum moods are: Nerdy, Okay, Sad

This week's Maximum moods are: Thirsty, Worried, Distressed

We've got a couple of stress-y moods here, and one that can go either way. Luckily, Thirsty, the one that can go either way? You can also have a bit of fun with! If your subject is metaphorically thirsty, you might be able to riff off of Horny from earlier in the year. That said, it's also perfectly fine to stick with the more traditional definition of Thirsty, and go with your subject being absolutely parched. Maybe stuck in a desert somewhere? Honestly, that would leave me Worried and Distressed, if I wasn't sure I could get out safely...

What are your thoughts on this week's moods? We're getting pretty close to the end of the year, so might you be feeling extra Restless? Or maybe a bit Sore from being hunched over the computer for so long? Hopefully you're not Nauseated, or if you are, it passes quickly...

Some interesting moods this week! Jealous is distinct from Envious, but how? And how do we demonstrate that? Lonely is a little bit all by itself... And Melancholy! Goodness, that's a tough one! Kinda wistful and longing but in a sad way? Still, it might be fun to figure out...

Oof, those are some real downer moods right there. Hopefully you find them cathartic rather than distressing! On the plus side, there's some fun visual stuff you can do with Crappy and Crushed.

This week's Maximum moods are: Lethargic, Listless, Bored

With school starting back up where I am, I'll admit I'm feeling the Medium moods more than the Maximum moods right now 😅 But that just means it's the perfect time to daydream about this week's Maximum moods! Ah, how I look forward to the days when I will once again be Lethargic or Bored without worrying about grades; Listless is a little bit more anxious than that, to me, so I might be feeling some of that in the near future regardless. Still, though!

I had a lot of fun making variations on Touched last year, as well as with this week's other two moods. Still, there are lots of other potential ways to go with these! What are your thoughts on the matter? Are you going to go with the "physical touch" shortcut for Touched, or do you have something appropriately emotional lined up? Are you all too ready for Geeky and Dorky? Let's talk about it!

Honestly, I feel like there's a lot of room for interpretation with this week's moods. Weird can go so many ways; meanwhile, Shocked can include being actually surprised, or even something more electric. Or maybe both at the same time if you want to reference a meme—Shocked Pikachu, anyone? Still, if it's not coming easily to you, you're always welcome to ask for help around here. This week's Maximum moods are: Giggly, Naughty, Quixotic

Like last year, I'm just straight out going to copy-paste the definition of Quixotic that Dreamwidth links to for this:

Antonyms: practical, realistic

And to quote myself from last year: If the subject of your mood theme ever tilts at windmills, this would be a good time to pull that out! Otherwise, aiming for generally quirky seems like a good approach for this tricky vocabulary word. Giggly and Naughty seem relatively easy in comparison, but that doesn't mean they will be, of course.

I can't say that Ditzy is one of my favorite moods, either, but maybe you feel differently? Is it an easy mood, or a challenging one? I'll admit that I misread it for a while as Dizzy, which is just one letter off, and honestly might be pretty close, depending on interpretations. What do you think?
