This week's Minimum moods are: Nerdy, Okay, Sad

This week's Medium moods are: Satisfied, Mischievous, Exanimate

This week's Maximum moods are: Jealous, Lonely, Melancholy

Some interesting moods this week! Jealous is distinct from Envious, but how? And how do we demonstrate that? Lonely is a little bit all by itself... And Melancholy! Goodness, that's a tough one! Kinda wistful and longing but in a sad way? Still, it might be fun to figure out...

Time for more moods!

This week's Minimum and Medium moods are: Enthralled, Happy, Indescribable

This week's Maximum moods are: Giggly, Naughty, Quixotic

Like last year, I'm just straight out going to copy-paste the definition of Quixotic that Dreamwidth links to for this:

1) extravagantly chivalrous or romantic; visionary, impractical, or impracticable.
Synonyms: imaginary, fantastic, fanciful
Antonyms: practical, realistic
2) impulsive and often rashly unpredictable.

And to quote myself from last year: If the subject of your mood theme ever tilts at windmills, this would be a good time to pull that out! Otherwise, aiming for generally quirky seems like a good approach for this tricky vocabulary word. Giggly and Naughty seem relatively easy in comparison, but that doesn't mean they will be, of course.

The half-way point of Part 7! We're getting soooo close to the end!

This week's moods are: Restless, Nauseated, Sore

As someone in the US, two of this week's moods are a little too relatable, oof. Still, hopefully not for long! And in the mean time, they can be great fuel for finding or creating the perfect mood image; I know I've channeled a few bad moods into a mood theme drawing before, and it really helped me work through them.

How about you? Do you have a particular approach to creating or finding mood theme images? Do you ever relate too much to any of a given week's moods? Or do you just go through and check them off? Or maybe you're in a third option, where working on a specific mood can put you in that mood? (That can be rough for some of them!) And what are your thoughts on this week's moods? Welcome back for our next set of moods!

This week's moods are: Disappointed, Envious, Pessimistic

This week's minimal moods are: Enthralled, Happy, Indescribable

For those of you making fandom mood themes, Disappointed seems ripe for grabbing screencaps or pages or whatever; you can go with a moment that your subjects were really disappointed, or even a moment that disappointed you, personally! For envious, it might be time to lean on the color green a little bit; or you might want to save that for next week when Jealous rears its ugly head. Or why not both? After all, the mood is always greener on the other emotion, or something. As for Pessimistic, it might be fun to try and do something to compliment Optimistic. There's plenty of room to stretch in all three of these!

What do you think? Do these moods seem easy or difficult to you? Is green the correct color for envy, or does it bring to mind a different hue? Did Optimistic give you so much trouble that you could just about use the same image for Pessimistic? Do you worry that Disappointed will disappoint? If you have fun making them, I don't think it will! In any case: Let's talk about it!

Hello, everyone, it's time for our next set of moods!

I don't know about anyone else, but Jubilant seems like a lot of fun to me! Especially with its link to "jubilee". Time to celebrate! Meanwhile, Impressed and Loved could well go hand-in-hand with Jubilant.

As for the minimal moods, has anyone had any problems with them in the past? Do you have any suggestions for minimal mood theme-ers who might have trouble with them? Now's a great time to bring those up, so let's talk about it!

And so begins the third week of Part 3.

This week's moods are: Infuriated, Irate, Irritated

I don't think it hit me until just now that we'd be getting three angry words in a row that all started with "I"! Figuring out the difference between "Irate" and "Irritated" has the potential to be a bit of a challenge, but I believe in us!

What do you think? Are you prepared to face down three new sub-categories of "Angry"? Are you thinking of skipping around a bit, and getting back to these later? After all, it doesn't technically matter which moods you make images for this week, as long as you make three of them, you'll still be set to complete your mood theme on time. It's been a VERY funny few weeks for me, but I've never stopped thinking about getting back on this project even though I ended up falling behind. So now, at last, here we are! I've got three weeks worth of mood images to share this time, meaning nine silly little Pokémon to throw your way. I suppose that means I better put most of them behind a cut, huh!

soc_puppet mentioned in the intro post for this week that Indescribable might be a difficult mood for some, and boy howdy did that turn out to be true in my case! For most moods so far I've made one or two variants at most. For Indescribable I ended up going through four different alternatives before eventually landing on the outright goofiness of this one. I think it very much captures the way this mood was making me feel by the time I was finally done with it, haha!

With Pokemon and Indescribable, I feel like there's a few ways I could have gone. Some Pokemon are pretty indescribable, and have no visual cues to demonstrate their emotions. Some Pokemon TCG art is bonkers in ways that can amount to being indescribable. But in the end I wanted something that still demonstrated a "mood"—that's what a mood theme is all about, after all! I think we've all had days like Magmortar is having.

Hope you guys have a smoother time with this one than I did, haha! And thanks so much for all the cheerful feedback so far :>! It really motivates me to keep going! /o/
