Part 1, Week 1 - Angry, Awake, Confused

I'm not sure how well I'll manage to keep up with this over the course of a whole year, but right now I'm very enthusiastic to try and create... a custom Pokémon theme! I'm using art sourced from the Pokémon trading card game, which has a really wild array of styles represented throughout. I'm aiming to include Pokémon that typically don't get featured so much, and to try not to use the same Pokémon more than once. So no Pikachu here, I'm afraid!

So far I'm already having a lot of fun with it, and I'm excited to keep going forward /o/ I hope everyone else is having fun too!

Those are great! Honestly, the Pokémon TCG art is just so varied and overall delightful; it's a great choice to build a mood theme off of. (I tried briefly with the Pokémon Go stickers before I started this comm, but uh. They don't have nearly as varied expressions. Couldn't even get the base fifteen.)

And if you don't make it through this year, no worries! The prompts will always be here, and if things continue at this rate, I'll probably see about running this comm again next year, so you have plenty of time either way ✌

Aww, thank you! And now you've got me really curious about the Pokémon Go stickers, I don't think I've ever really looked at those before! Is that where your icon comes from? It's so friggen cute, hahaha!

It is! You can see all of them so far right here; if you open the images in a new tab or download them, you'll be able to see them bigger than their thumbnails. Piplup is the one that made me want to steal them for icons and other purposes; there are some other great ones, and some I don't care for nearly as much 😂
