Fancy Rats Part 5
Woot, mood share time!
This is a pretty special Part, because I went all out on the moods from Week 5. I'll be putting those under their own cuts for emphasis.
Full, Relieved, Crazy

Ditzy, Flirty, Giddy

Giggly, Naughty, Quixotic

Weird, Shocked, Thankful

Blah, Apathetic, Blank

As a bonus, here's a large version of Weird; hopefully you'll be able to guess his inspiration, even if I didn't mange to include his signature hair style and/or previously signature glasses π
For Dorky and Geeky, I had way too many ideas to pick just one! And since I want this mood theme to reflect anyone who wants to use it, I decided to lean into it and make all of my ideas. So here are my variations on Geeky and Dorky, with the note that you can also substitute any one of these for the Nerdy root mood. (You could also substitute any of the images for any mood; I'm not the boss of how you might use this mood theme π)

I forced myself to limit things to a mere two lightsaber colors and oneRats Star Trek shirt style, but nothing could have prevented me from using the three standard Starfleet uniform colors.
As a side note, I'd initially designed the Star Trek rats throwing the Vulcan salute. It was within an hour of posting all the Geeky, Dorky, and Nerdy rats to various platforms that I realized I'd screwed up: As cute as the image was, it probably wasn't a good idea to include drawings of rats making a Jewish hand signal, especially with the steep increase of antisemitism going on recently. Antisemitism has been on the rise for at least the last decade, but it's gotten so much worse over the past almost-year. So if you caught any of those initial posts, that's what happened!
I think the final Star Trek rats still turned out pretty cute, and you can definitely still tell what they're referencing, even without the Vulcan salute.
Just for fun, I also did my best to keep all of the "Pondering the Orb" rats close together π
Moving on: With Touched, as with Geeky and Dorky above, I wanted to make sure that this mood theme was inclusive, so I did my best to include a variety of skin tones. As with all of the other rats, I stuck as closely as I could to web safe colors, so these should mostly show up as the same tones regardless of what device you may be using. The palest skin tone is the exception, since there wasn't really a good match for all the shades I used; the nails might also be an exception, since I just colored over those with a 10% opaque white, IIRC.
In addition to the four different skin tones, I made a version of each with a silver ring splint! If you still aren't represented here and feel the urge, you're welcome to modify any of the existing images to better suit your needs. A simple option might be to mirror the image, so the finger is approaching from the opposite side; a more complicated option might be pride flag nail polish! That said, if there's a really obvious option that I'm missing, let me know and I'll see about including it. This is just what I could think of myself.

Phew! Okay, that's all I can think of to say on these myself for now; if you have any comments or questions, though, I'd be happy to ramble on even more about them!

Rats Trek! Rats Wars! Ratsgate! Ratamary Damacy! These are too cute for words.
...is that Weird Al /rofl

It is absolutely Weird Al π I had a blast making his accordion, even if it's not strictly "canon". Also his shirt! It's really a shame that the horrible 90s-esque pattern doesn't properly show in 100x100 pixels. In any case, I like to think he'd be flattered by the homage.
.....sudden urge to make an alternate Horny inspired by Chuck Tingle. Or maybe Creative? He'd probably really like the second option, come to think of it; hmmm...

Here from the <user name="dw_news"> post
...and I can not wait for your themes to go live. They are so frakking adorable!
(Stargate Rat makes my heart sing.)
(Weird is WEIRD AL you are a genius.)
(Ring splints!)
Re: Here from the <user name="dw_news"> post
(Stargate Rat isn't strictly to scale, but it wouldn't have been nearly as cute if the rat was proportionately the same size as humans (etc) are when they go through. Too small to see the fun details if the rat is only half as tall as the gate!)
(π It was the best idea I had for Weird, TBH. I like to think he'd appreciate it, though!)
(The next-to-darkest skin tone with ring splint is the official site-supported version for Touched π)
